Research Group Foci: We study processes by which hydrology, hydraulics, and solute transport and fate influence watersheds, streams, and ecosystems.  We conduct research related to stream-groundwater interactions, hyporheic exchange, stream and hyporheic restoration, and climate change in polar and temperate regions.  Our research group focuses on both field experiments/monitoring and numerical modeling to uncover new knowledge about how natural systems function, and how they respond to change.
