OpenFOAM - Pore-scale modeling
In our
research, we deal a lot with porous media, such as river bed, river
banks, seabed, ripraps, and scour protection. As such, flow through the
porous media is of fundamental interest. Built upon the immersed
boundary method we developed in OpenFOAM, we are able to simulate the
flow field at pore scale.
The porous media part of results shown on this page is Rusen Sinir's master thesis work. We are also doing research on the flow simulations inside porous scour protections (ripraps).
